Chemist Heinz Suter developed ORO-CLEAN in his father’s garage, a phenol-free cleaning agent for dental suction units.

Foundation of the company "Dentalchemie Heinz Suter" in Küsnacht, to market the cleaner ORO-CLEAN.

Successful distribution of ORO-CLEAN by leading Swiss dental dealers.
1976
Expansion of the product portfolio through the development and market introduction of the instrument disinfectant Uni-Clean.

Change of the company's legal form to a limited liability company and its renaming to Oro Clean Chemie AG.

Move to larger business premises in Wetzikon.

Launch of DENTIRO, a fast-acting surface disinfectant specifically designed to combat hepatitis B viruses.

Expansion of the product range with the instrument disinfectant Self-Clean and introduction of 10-litre canisters.

Introduction of DENTIRO Feuchttücher, fast-acting disinfectant wipes with a broad effective spectrum and a short contact time.

First-time participation in an international trade fair, located in Nuremberg, Germany.

Construction of own business premises in Pfäffikon ZH.

Reformulation of the instrument disinfectant Uni-Clean and relaunch as OROCID-MULTISEPT Plus, the first fast-acting instrument disinfectant developed in Switzerland that is effective against hepatitis B viruses.

Introduction of the PROSEPT brand, developed specifically for hospitals and medical practices.

Collaboration with the University of Zurich to develop Turbocidol, a cleaning and disinfectant product for the use with the Turbocid device. One of the first devices that automatically cleaned, disinfected and lubricated dental hand-pieces, contra-angles and turbines.

Successful certification according to EN 46001 as the first Swiss dental company.

Relocation to the newly built business and production premises in Fehraltorf.

Takeover of the company by Ursula Suter.

Introduction of the extremely economical disinfectant ASEPTOPRINT Liquid for dental impressions.

Complete overhaul of the corporate design.

Development and marketing of OROLIN Perasept, a bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal and sporicidal product for the cold sterilisation of heat-sensitive instruments such as endoscopes.

Development and marketing of OROLIN Intra, a brand-new, patented system for manually disinfecting, cleaning and lubricating hand-pieces and contra-angles.
2016 - 2023

Incorporation of Oro Clean Chemie Sdn. Bhd. and opening of 600 m2 premises in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Incorporation of Oro Clean Chemie s.r.o. in Prague, Czech Republic.
2022
Takeover of the company by Jürg Suter, representative of the second generation, after more than 20 years in the company and successful management of the branch office in Asia.
